Credentialed Diabetes Educator - Jenny Taylor is now consulting at Nutrition Professionals Australia's rooms at 191 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.

Jenny's experience in diabetes education exceeds 30 years working with children, adolescents and their families, women with gestational diabetes and all other age groups with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. This year she expanded her role to include insulin pump therapy.

Her consultations include:
  • Education and support for newly diagnosed
  • Assessment and education for unstable diabetes
  • Education and support to commence insulin therapy
  • Education and support to assist in diabetes self-care skills
  • Review management, assist in incremental medication adjustments to improve HbA1c
  • Provide strategies and knowledge in delaying onset of diabetes

The Healthy Eating Activity and Lifestyle (HEAL) program is a lifestyle modification program that enables participants to develop lifelong healthy eating and physical activity behaviours. HEALTM consists of 8 weekly group education and group exercise sessions as well as individual consultations pre and post program and 5 and 12 month follow-up health consultations. NPA can provide HEAL accredited dietitians to run programs .

Jane Backhouse is the Clinical Services Manager at the Voicecraft® Clinic.

Jane has practised as a Speech Pathologist for over 19 years in South Australia and the United Kingdom working in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, an adolescent day program and in private practice. She has specialised in voice therapy and training for 12 years, incorporating a range of therapy approaches. She has extensive experience with Voicecraft® in which she has found an approach that is evidence-based and removes the mystery around how we can reach our full vocal potential for the whole range of voice applications.

Jane studied and later taught counselling and psychotherapy having a focus on understanding the link between self expression and the voice. Jane is also an LSVT certified clinician.

Jane is experienced in aged care and dysphagia management. She is co-author of the classic text: Good Looking, Easy Swallowing.
