Ines is passionate about nutrition and can't help having a 'get to the bottom of it' approach to her practise. Ines believes each person is different and unique; deserving personalised advice and recommendations. She aims to deliver the advice and support that tackles the heart of the issue and constantly looks for new ways and information to give the best she can.
Ines has special expertise in four nutrition areas:
Ines is passionate about helping people appreciate how important it is to support the body with good nutrition for optimal performance and recovery. Ines understands that a person living with gut issues is likely to be experiencing a very tough time. She can help sort through symptoms such as excessive bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence and abdominal cramps. Ines can provide guidance and support through FODMAPs and RPAH Elimination diet. Conditions include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis, food allergies and food intolerances.
Ines empathises when it comes to the many challenges a parent/s may face when it comes to feeding their child/ren. Even more so if the child is described as a fussy or picky eater, problem feeder, having poor growth, not gaining weight, overweight, or reacting to food. Ines, a paediatric dietitian and is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding which is a multifaceted therapy approach to assessing children that are problem feeders, picky eaters, and food aversive. Ines works with parents to help assess, identify and understand what may be influencing their child's eating experience, skills and behaviour; to enable steps that may help improve the feeding challenges and have their child eating better.
Ines believes that eating habits are complex. Achieving a weight goal, whether it is to lose weight or gain weight, is certainly not a simple as a diet sheet. Ines will consider your individual lifestyle, food habits, food preferences, barriers and reasons for eating, to look for practical recommendations that apply to you. Ines is experienced in translating the nutritional science of energy and weight, into simple but meaningful changes in eating habits. She supports making realistic changes to diet and eating behaviours for steady and sustainable results. Ines can also see people with obesity surgery, particularly LapBand and sleeve gastrectomy.
