I love my slow cooker at this time of the year. So easy and warming at the end of a busy day. Send in your best recipes so that we can put them onto our website. This one has been a family favourite for years.

Serves: 8
1kg Chicken breast, cut up
1 Tbsp Olive oil
1 cup Orange juice
1/3 cup Currants or sultanas
1/2 cup Slivered almonds
1 to 2 tsp Curry powder
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 cup Chutney
500g Sweet potato
1 Small can mandarine segments, drained
2 Bananas
Few sprigs Parsley
Brown chicken in hot oil until browned. Combine all ingredients except banana and mandarine. Heat in slow cooker, reduce heat and simmer, covered until chicken and potatoes are tender (approx 2 hours). Add banana, mandarin and bring back to boil. Serve with parsley garnish. Serve with brown rice or couscous or polenta.
