This year the seminars have focussed on the importance of ensuring adequate protein in the menu to meet the increased needs of older people. We have also explored strategies to assist in enhancing intake of those with dementia. The feedback for the seminars has been excellent, with the majority of participants stating that it entirely met their own learning objectives. Those who attend go on to become the ambassadors for good nutrition in their sites.
Remember that the seminar is suited to all of those who are involved in provision of food or fluid to residents - from the cook to the carer, the RN or the lifestyle coordinator, the food service manager or the CEO!
