In-Home Meal Concensus
In-Home Meal Concensus Paper
The Australian Government’s Department of Health Disability and Ageing has introduced new funding and nutritional requirements for in-home aged care meals under the Support at Home program, effective 1 November 2025. These changes aim to ensure meals meet minimum nutritional standards assessed by Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs). However, implementation has been rapid and lacks full sector agreement, prompting a group of APDs - led by Julie Dundon of Nutrition Professionals Australia - to develop a discussion paper to guide providers in meeting the new standards.
